There is an undersupply of size 14+ garments, let alone sustainable clothing options for larger sizes. This is unfair. People of all sizes and shapes deserve to dress stylishly and sustainably. We are working with the NZ Ethnic Women’s Trust to create an upcycled fashion collection for larger sizes.

In collaboration with KIMONO KOLLAB, an initiative that facilitates cross-cultural exchange through the art and craftsmanship of kimonos, we entered and became one of the finalists of the Oversew Fashion Awards 2017 - an annual event in the fashion calendar which showcases creative and talented people who can turn old, dated clothing into new “upcycled” fashion. We submitted a mini collection of three outfits, upcycled from vintage kimonos. This collection challenges what it means to be a designer, as each outfit was designed by self-taught “hobbyist” designer and valuable team member - Tines!
Curious about upcycling and redesign? Want to get creative with your clothes but not sure how? Designer/sewist with some crafty skills to share? Working on your own project and just want some company?

We are bringing to you a casual workshop where people of ALL ages, gender and skill levels come together and refresh their own clothes in a welcoming, non-intimidating environment. On-site informal guidance will be provided. Register your interest now.
